Lanserhof at The Arts Club is one of London’s finest medical and health facilities, available to non-Members. The Georgian brickwork and sash windows are enough of a giveaway, but step inside and you enter a whole new world of wellness and cutting science. The members Club specialises in general and preventive medicine, orthopaedics, cardiology, radio and sonology and sports medicine as well as holistic medicine, body and aesthetic treatments.
Acknowledged as the world’s first medical gym, the facility spreads over six floors, opposite the 155-year-old club – that was formerly home to Dover Street Market. Inside Lanserhof’s pioneering analytics and state-of-the-art-training equipment are complemented with stylish interiors by Düsseldorf-based firm Ingenhoven Architects, which were inspired from the spa brand’s other locations in Germany and Austria. And so, floor-to-ceiling murals of the bucolic Austrian countryside take centre stage it the members’ lounge; the group’s signature blue sofa lines the reception of the doctors’ consultation rooms that enhance the level of luxury however with clean and simple architectural lines.
